Sjogren Targets Expansion into Latin America
OXFORD, MA USA—APRIL 2004
U.S.-based Sjogren Industries, Inc. has partnered with Antonio Garza S. of AGS Internacional to head their expansion into South America, Central America, and Mexico.
Mr. Garza, a Mexican native, has more than 30 years experience in the wire and cable industry. His company, AGS Internacional, is located in Monterrey N.L., Mexico and will represent Sjogren’s complete line of wire tooling products.
"Antonio’s extensive background in the wire and cable industry combined with his familiarity of these territories will prove invaluable as we expand into these markets," said Carl P. Sjogren, president of Sjogren Industries, Inc. "We are very happy to have someone with his level of expertise representing our product line."
Prior to starting AGS Internacional, Mr. Garza most recently served as sales manager for the Mexican and Central American territories at Paramount Die Company located in Belcamp, Maryland.
Mr. Garza holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical electrical engineering and a master’s degree in power from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, a master’s degree in mechanical design from Grupo Vitro, and a master’s degree in management from ITESM.
